Tons of possibilities!

This is fun to sit on the couch and noodle around it, and equally fun for my kids (7 and 10) to play with too.

The audio out jack is nice for running into other gear. I played a tune and recorded it, pitched it down, added delay and warble, then ran it into a sampler to add a beat and a bass line to it. I plan to layer multiple tongue drum samples to really get this going.

The only thing lacking is a volume knob. Sometimes the speaker is a little loud and the audio jack is too loud to use headphones on. Minor complaint though.

Now I'm waiting for the cajon version!

Space Is the Place Indeed

We have several BNN instruments and we pre-ordered the drum back when it was out of stock. When it arrived, we were all so stoked! Laid down a simple track and then started twisting those knobs. Ethereal. Spacey. Infinite possibilities. I've run it through an amp using an 1/8" to 1/4" adapter and hope to try different pedals (if that will work) to take the train all the way to freaktown. I imagine some of these tunes we're building can be layered as the root tracks for other cool more traditional instruments (like guitar/cello) or maybe we'll add our theremin and other synths to the mix. It really can go just about anywhere your little heart can imagine. Plus, you're supporting a small business! My kids love it. My partner digs it. Looking forward to hours of fun ahead.

Easily my favorite

I have 7 BNN instruments and this is easily my favorite. The tones you can get when pitching this down are tremendous. If I record at 100% to right, then put pitch to the middle, it gives me a perfect octave down to play over the loop live and in key. I can't tell you how happy I am with this.

Only one gripe with any of the instruments. I have not tried it with this particular one yet, but the audio out on my Frankie seems to crackle a ton. I think upgrading the audio out would be worth the added cost, as running these through an amp/effects pedals would be awesome. Again, I have only tried it on the Frankie, but that would be my one piece of constructive advice (I don't want to say criticism, because this thing is amazing).

Thank you for being creative and making something that is just plain fun.

This thing ROCKS!!

Not my 1st BNN instrument but definitely one of my favorites! As usual, the item was well packed and shipped fast. Communication is great! The drum has a great sound and is very fun/inspiring to play! Not having used a tonge drum in the past, it was nice to be able to have fun and create musical arrangements without much practice. Cant wait to get a chance to take this out and connect it to my PO33. Thanks Richard or all you do!
